Reflections

What did I learn from Hawaii?

One of the big things I learned... was to trust. To trust myself and love myself more. To trust the genuineness of my friendships, believing that people actually like me and like spending time with me. And to trust God. Since the Lord first put on my heart to go to Hawaii three years ago, that's something He's been teaching me and I thought I had learned how to trust Him pretty well. But when I was in Hawaii, He sealed that work and I finally understood that I don't need to know what tomorrow's going to bring. Or the next day. Or the next day after that. I can be in the moment and focus just on living to the fullest the gift of every single day that He gives us, one at a time. He doesn't expect us to have all the answers. He's only looking for a heart trusting one step at a time. And a life surrendered to Him, putting one foot in front of the other as He leads, will uncover for us the greatest adventure we could ever know. He's only asking for a step of faith.
